My Golf Encounter in Brief

I started to practice the golf swing in driving range in 1994. Then in 1996, my coworker Bill Reid brought a spare set of golf clubs for me to hit balls in the Scarborough Fire Prevention Golf Tournament. Since then I love the game.

Being a firefighter, I believed my strong arms could hit balls further. I was wrong and absolutely wrong because Ben Hogan said at the introduction in his book "Power Golf" in (1953) of page xi - when you grip a golf club to take your first swing at a golf ball , every natural instinct you employ to accomplish that objective is wrong, absolutely wrong. That is why you may have to take lessons to get the fundamentals.

Now, I deeply thank all my instructors including Svend Sturup, Jimmy Kim, Todd Miller, Mike Levine (U.S. Golf Pro.) and Gary Edge who gave me the insights of golf swing.

The more I like golf, the more I think of sharing my feelings on  the grip and mechanics of swings with you.

My philosophy is to create an effortless and repeatable golf swing . The transition from upswing to downswing is the key of every effortless swing .

You are strongly recommended to develop the feeling that the left side of your body is the leading your swing. Do not use hands to hit balls by raising your body's spine angle.
