Downhill Lie

DOWNHILL - shorter iron to be used , the ball will fly lower than normal ;
put the ball a fraction further backward.

The ball will fly low and hard, so land it short of the green and let it run on.

remember : ball backward of your stance  - fly low ( for beating the wind)

                 ball forward of your stance    - fly high ( for climbing over trees)

The key is to take enough club so you can swing easy and control the clubhead path.

Take one more club, aim 10 yards left of the target, and make a smooth backswing, doing your best to rotate your left shoulder under your chin.

The downswing is merely an uncoiling motion, but focus on the clubhead's path:
It must travel straight along the body's alignment at impact or the ball will finish off-target. Get a feel for this by taking a few practice swings until you're comfortable, watching the clubhead each time to be sure it's headed in the right direction.
