To achieve a consistent driver set-up, one which
promotes a sweeping, ascending blow, try this simple
3-step procedure:
* Start with your feet together and the ball opposite
the middle of your body;
* Move your left foot approximately an inch to the
left and flare it out up to 45 degrees;
* Take a step to the side with your right foot so
that the inside of your feet line up with the outside of
your shoulders. If you follow this procedure, your ball
position will be the same every time, and you'll hit a
lot more fairways.
A low takeaway (18") creates a wide clubhead arc that
promotes longer shots.
